Out of all the book series I have read, the Inheritance Trilogy has been one of the few to rise to my list of top three.
Starting with Eragon, then Eldest, and lastly Brisingr Part 1 & Part 2, this series is one of the most well written book series I have ever read. Eragon is the story of a young boy, about 15, who comes across a blue stone in a notorious mountain range called The Spine. He ends up keeping this egg due to the fact that he can not sell it because no one wants something that came from the Spine. Everything goes well until the egg hatches, and out pops a dragon, who he later names Saphira, that will change his life forever. Eragon takes his place throughout the books slowly but surely as a Dragon Rider, set out to rid his world of Alagaesia from the evil King Galbatorix. These novels are full of fun, romance, action, mysterious plot lines, and suspense like very few other books bring. Eragon is diffidently a great read for the readers that want to have fantasy mixed with action in an easy to read trilogy.

Pendragon- The 10 book series wonder
The Never War, book 3 of the 10 part series |
However, even though it is not as popular as other book series, such as Harry Potter, or ......Twighlight......, there are very many people who turn to less advertised books like Pendragon for reading comfort. When I first started reading the Pendragon Series, I believed it to be the most utterly boring and senseless thing ever written other than Tale of Two Cities--But I was ten then, and didn't appreciate a good book when I found one. Personally, after trying the series again 2 years later, I can safely say, that if I ever was being treated for Cocaine abuse, I would appease my withdrawals with Pendragon.
It was that good.
Pendragon is a series about a boy named Bobby Pendragon who finds out that he is in fact, a "traveler." His Uncle Press, his mysteriously cool and laid back relative steps into the new picture as a sort of teacher as to why Bobby is the way he is. A "traveler," per say, is a person with the ability to travel to different territories (an equivalent would be like traveling to different planets where the people are the same as here except an entirely different culture). To travel to these Planets, travelers use devices called "Flumes," which is a sort of, warp time hole type of idea that transports travelers from place to place. Obviously, this all confuses Bobby very much, but unfortunanlty, against his will he realizes he must become a traveler, as to save the territories from a common evil: Saint Dane. Another Traveler, Saint Dane is bent on destroying the different territories, and gaining dominance over all of Halla, or, the Universe. Along with the help of his friends Mark and Courtney, Bobby Pendragon embarks on an amazing journey to defeat Saint Dane, and put an end to his tyranny.
